Poor delusional DKs actually think that will work? They just haven't yet realized that they are, in fact, a buffet.

As the old saying goes "Quantity has a quality all its own"
Josh.C 15th Nov 2013, 5:16 PM edit delete reply
Not to mention I seem to remember it being mentioned that a DK is several times stronger then a normal person that they were changed from.

So while numbers and mass chaining him might be numbered in at eight individuals, in strength it probably feels like he's being pulled back on by double those numbers. It must be very annoying for Drogan.
Kit 15th Nov 2013, 9:58 PM edit delete reply
Kit
Strength means nothing unless you have the weight and leverage to back it up. Otherwise you just have a really good hold on the chain as you're pulled around.
Josh.C 16th Nov 2013, 4:40 PM edit delete reply
That is true.

When they have good footing, their probably weighing him down like anchors. But when he he pulls them off balance and pulls them up, they must be more like ragdolls.

The awesomeness continues!

BTW, hope I helped out a bit on that crashed drive, I'd really like the monthly pic :)

Hey Amocin. Long time follower, first time commenting. The monthly donation pic for November sparked this question. I remember you saying a while back that Druids wasn't intended to go past Serid and Kinar's first love scene, which brings me to something that's been nagging me. Do you already have the ideas for all the monthly pictures thought out ahead of time or do you just come up with them on the fly? It must be difficult to keep churning out new scenarios every month for the donations, considering how long the comic's been going.
Amocin 15th Nov 2013, 8:44 AM edit delete reply
Amocin
There is in fact a list of all of this years monthly pics, and half of next years pics, at least of what they should be.. So they are thought up ahead of time.. It wasnt always like this though, and generally I try to go with what people want.
Aedin 15th Nov 2013, 3:58 AM edit delete reply
I'm curious, are we going to see some sort of bondage action with Amo soon? -- seeing how she was chained and pulled away a few pages back..
Luna 15th Nov 2013, 4:28 AM edit delete reply
Where's Amo during all this? And Mordin?
Amocin 15th Nov 2013, 8:45 AM edit delete reply
Amocin
Mordin is nowhere near this fight right now. Amo you gotta wait and see.
Zack Cloud 15th Nov 2013, 4:30 AM edit delete reply
huh...so where that's where they got the chains...and this doesn't look good for Drogan.
kaelin 15th Nov 2013, 5:02 AM edit delete reply
Umm... since when did they allow only DK's into ulduar. where's the dwarves. where's the healers? For the love of all that is gnomish, where's the healers to activate the tether cannons.

Although now that I think about it. 40 blood DK's could wreak havoc with the self healing they got going.
Grimlos 18th Nov 2013, 12:08 AM edit delete reply
Not sure where Ulduar connects to this; however, all DK-raids there was made already in WotLK. And in Cata on Firelands (HC even!). Just sayin (and u can see it on Tube)
Dolphinsong 15th Nov 2013, 5:42 AM edit delete reply
Love how the one chaining the tail appears to be pulled off their feet in the last panel!

Amocin
O.o, Why dont you like Drogan?
furfan 15th Nov 2013, 10:43 AM edit delete reply
too many horns
Dreamfox 15th Nov 2013, 7:17 PM edit delete reply
I have to admit, the Drogan's many horns are a minor peeve with me as well, but just a minor one.

I have more problems with Dragons that have 'T-Rex' snouts and 'Pterodactylus' Dragons. Well, ok, I have been spoiled with Dragons drawn by Larry Elmore, Clyde Caldwell and Keith Parkinson.

To sum it up, the horns (or their size? I'm not 100% sure here) and club-like tail is just a minor peeve of mine. All in all, I can live with the design.
Amocin 15th Nov 2013, 7:30 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
I based most of my design off of what WoW has already given us, and just edited minor things. The T-Rex face was one of those edits mostly because a lot of the dragons in WoW seemed to have similar face design, so other dragons of different color would have a different head shape.
Rankamateur 17th Nov 2013, 7:35 PM edit delete reply
I wouldn't fault Amocin for the quantity of horns the dragon is depicted with, since she is simply being true to the dragons as seen in the Warcraft game. In fact, I'm sure it would be much easier on her sketch hand if she didn't have to draw them...:)
Amocin 18th Nov 2013, 1:41 AM edit delete reply
Amocin
Oh my god you have no idea... And often times I forget things and have to go back and fix it.. Guh.

The other dragons will have edits though.. its kinda stupid that they all pretty much look alike but are different colored.. save for the Aspects..
AAlbusUUmbra 15th Nov 2013, 8:04 AM edit delete reply
That awkward moment when you're chaining up a dragon and he takes off, taking you and all your buddies to the heavens.
Jiala 15th Nov 2013, 9:23 AM edit delete reply
You know... I'm looking at this picture and thinking, "Hrm... those DK's look like they're still wearing the end of dk starter area gear... so either they've got an xmog-er somewhere in their base of operations, or they're horribly undergeared for Northrend." <.<;

Eh. Of course this is a story comic and Amocin just may have used that gear look to make them all identify as DK's, and it actually has nothing to do with how well armed they actually are or arn't.
Amocin 15th Nov 2013, 11:49 AM edit delete reply
Amocin
This was done to both identify them as DKs as well as mooks. Their armor rating is much better then the DK starting gear, but that gear is the most recognizable as DKs.
Rankamateur 16th Nov 2013, 9:22 AM edit delete reply
I would also add that game mechanics should not limit the telling of a story. That includes the level (power) of gear from one expansion or time period to another.

What I mean by this is that the enhancements imbedded within a character's gear are only pertinent in game; they are there to keep your character up to par as you play. Besides, if you look at the old styles of gear that half the quest givers and other npcs in game wear, you'd realize that their attire has little to do with how much power they can project. In short, gear is only important as a game mechanic.

i have noticed a few missing chain links in the chain around his neck and would like to point them out even though you have most likely noticed them
Frahaleah 15th Nov 2013, 11:48 AM edit delete reply
If you mean the 3 bottom ones, those look like they haven't reached Drogan yet. As for the bottom ring, it's most likely spiraled around his neck.
Nobeca 15th Nov 2013, 11:49 AM edit delete reply
Maybe one of the laces went around his neck two times
Amocin 15th Nov 2013, 12:01 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
There were slight missing links within the chains themselves, that has been corrected and will be up later.

There are chains that are reaching him, two that have, and one has spiraled around his neck twice, which is why two have reached and yet there are three loops.
Nobeca 15th Nov 2013, 11:47 AM edit delete reply
Lol that worgen at Drogan's tail. I see this pic in front of my eyes: "Le us out, or we'll f**k the whore in two halves." XD Sorry for my English

Guest 15th Nov 2013, 2:29 PM edit delete reply
has anyone noticed that some of the chains are not attached to anything at first but then in last panel they are?
Amocin 15th Nov 2013, 2:52 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
The chains shoot out and move, perhaps some action lines might help this..
VanHorne 15th Nov 2013, 6:15 PM edit delete reply
Been following the series since I discovered it by pure accident many months ago. Great work by the way. I see the panning scene with Drogan at the center, and I'm reminded of Dragonheart, when Bowen chain-lasso'd an irritated Draco... "Come! Visit the woods!"
Dreamfox 15th Nov 2013, 7:21 PM edit delete reply
Nice tactic, first chaining him down and then try to takje him down with ranged attacks. Problem is, he is not fighting them. He is just buying time for the others to get some head start and then rescue Amo if possible. It will be interesting to see how this goes.
Sarion 15th Nov 2013, 7:59 PM edit delete reply
Oh my i do hope Drogans havent bit off more than he can chew.

And what about Amo is she being carried away or just chained nearby while they fight Drogan?

Interesting to notice that all DKs are worgen. I wonder what happened that a bunch of worgen got turned into DKs... and also assigned into the same team for whatever is their mission. There must be some reason, hm?

Can Druids actually turn into dragons?
Amocin 5th Mar 2014, 1:02 AM edit delete reply
Amocin
They can but its not class specific. A dragon form can be acquired by the use of a potion, or when holding a special item. So it wouldnt be specific to just Druids accessing that form.

This would not make them dragon hybrids though, as it is just the ability to become a dragon. These forms typically end when battle begins, meaning that during high stress situations they revert back to their natural form. A druid's shape sift form is natural, and a part of them, they only shift when they want to, and are not forced out of the form due to stress or other things.
