Dont forget that this month's picture is Kinar/Drogan(dragon)/Anders in a holiday themed pic. Should have a sample up within the next couple of days.

Also for the name of the Grey Worgen, please cast your vote for the following 4. These are the names that I either liked, or got multiple votes. You can cast your vote here in the comments, or by email.

Oddly enough, it reminds me of one an interesting attack from one of my favorite characters of my favorite Final Fantasy.

Though I seem to remember she had better luck with it then he just did. XD
Rembrant 20th Dec 2013, 12:26 AM edit delete reply
Ouch, dang! Yeah, that'll definitely keep him from flying away. It also makes me wonder what part of his body will be injured when he morphs into his tauren form again. Looks like he's going for the kill on Ghath, but somehow I doubt it'll be that easy to off the main baddie's right hand worgen.

And sure, Callow does sound good for the grey worgen.
Rankamateur 20th Dec 2013, 6:20 AM edit delete reply
That does raise an interesting point. Since the webbing is between the `fingers' of his wing `arm', one would think he would have a damaged hand in his mortal form.

However, he has six limbs in dragon form, but only four as a Tauren...so where would a wound on his wing correlate on his humanoid body? If I had to guess, I'd say on his back around the shoulder area.
Rivenaa 20th Dec 2013, 12:05 PM edit delete reply
I say the front and hind legs should equal the arms and legs. Wings on a dragon are extensions of the back, so I say the wound should be going down his back
Dsl 22nd Dec 2013, 8:26 PM edit delete reply
I vote Callow
Guest 20th Dec 2013, 12:38 AM edit delete reply
looks like Drogan is gonna have another tasty Death Kight meal.^^ also aren't Dragon wings suppose to be tough?
Amocin 20th Dec 2013, 12:44 AM edit delete reply
The red parts are, where it is bone. The tan colored part of the wing is leather/skin only, with no scaled protection. There is a reason why a lot of dragons have rips and tears around the outer edges of the wing flaps. These things can be repaired though.
Guest 21st Dec 2013, 7:03 PM edit delete reply
repaired? how? is it like an open wound? you just get a needle and thread and stich it up?
Greyhair 20th Dec 2013, 12:13 PM edit delete reply
Yep, Drogan's understandably pissed. I agree, that leathery part of the wing is more vulnerable than bone-containing one. Also, in my opinion, wing membrane should have a LOT of pressure-type nerves (don't know how they are called) in order to provide flight-relevant feeling and getting them severed must be very painful.
As for the name my vote goes to FENRIS.
Keep up the good work.

Guest 23rd Dec 2013, 1:45 PM edit delete reply
what does that have to do with my question?
Amocin 23rd Dec 2013, 3:59 PM edit delete reply
I dont know how that would answer your question. Drogan would likely heal it through magic, which would be the best option for such a thing. I dont imagine stitching it up would do the trick, and might leave it unstable.
Greyhair 24th Dec 2013, 10:55 PM edit delete reply
I'll assume that Guest from 21DEC2013 2003 and Guest from 23DEC2013 1313 are the same person.
"What does it have to do with my question?"
Please pay attention to the timestamp. Your post from 21DEC was posted AFTER mine which somehow ended below yours. Just to clarify.

It's not my place to interject and tell you what to do, but if I may make a suggestion, it does seem a little unfair in some sense to me to simply ask if Callow is alright. I think it would've been more fair to some if you placed all of the names that'd gotten a second vote along with Callow in a list so everyone could see the names instead of having to scroll through the entire comments section to "search" for names to vote for. It's hard to vote for something you might just scroll past.

jaderose 20th Dec 2013, 1:14 AM edit delete reply
Much appreciated, and I do apologize if I sounded like a whiner Amocin. Thank you for taking my suggestion into consideration. ^^
RJ 20th Dec 2013, 1:17 AM edit delete reply
Apologies in advance if I haven't read your answer to this question yet (I can't find it in any of the other comment sections), but are you planning on drawing in any of the other Azerothian races (ie Blood Elfs, Dwarves, Gnomes, etc?)
Amocin 20th Dec 2013, 1:28 AM edit delete reply
The answer is yes. There is already a night elf in the comic, and a few other races will be showing up shortly. As in within the next ten pages or so. No Pandaren though.
RJ 20th Dec 2013, 2:14 AM edit delete reply
I should have said I knew about the night elf, so apologies again.
I've got my fingers crossed for Blood elves and Draenei (especially lady Blood elf and Draenei.)

I am new to this comic, but may I say I simply love it!
I find the Art most impressive, and the dialog/back story equaly injoyable.
Being a fellow Artist I also find this body of work Most inspiering.
I feel you really have somthing Great here and hope this will have a Very long run life,as I will continue to watch/read as long as it runs!:-)
Simply love this story.
DrUnevil 20th Dec 2013, 1:46 AM edit delete reply
Oh, that's gotta hurt Drogan. A day early release, awesome. Also, how would a wound transmit to his regular form? Will he just have a nasty gash along his back, or would it be nothing due to his wings vanishing apon transformation?
TimeShift 20th Dec 2013, 1:59 AM edit delete reply
heh, nice wingcutting there

yet the DK should have aimed for the inner wing area, as that's responsible for the majority for lifting the weight. Yet, the further outside the wing, the more important grows the stability job of it.

In other words: If he really tries, he should still be able to fly - but nobody can tell where. Most likely into a mountainside...
Josh.C 20th Dec 2013, 2:21 AM edit delete reply
If we're voting again, I think I'll stick with Callow.

Hmmmmmmm...I haven't played much of this game. Do the Death Knights stay dead after they're killed or do they eventually re-spawn? I mean, they're being rather brazen to attack a dragon like this if they can't refresh or maintain their numbers easily thank to the barrier.
danthehorseman 20th Dec 2013, 3:02 AM edit delete reply
Poor dragon. I hope he can still fly. I hope your well. Merry Christmas and happy new year. Danny.
masorin 20th Dec 2013, 3:12 AM edit delete reply
-grits teeth- Ow that's gotta hurt, small question though, why didn't you put any blood when he tore the wing?

Also my vote is Fenris definitely Fenris.
Amocin 20th Dec 2013, 2:11 PM edit delete reply
I figured it would be like my cat's ear. When she cut it, it didnt bleed right away, and when it did, it wasnt gushing, just a few drops. I try to think of the membrane of the dragon's wing being the same. There are still vessels going through it, but they would be small and wouldnt bleed in all areas of the wing, just where those vessels got cut.
Timeheart 20th Dec 2013, 3:22 AM edit delete reply
Grey Worgen? Are we mixing the name of the game with Dragon age? Or is it still warcraft? Just saying the name might not sit without some teasing.
Guest 20th Dec 2013, 3:50 AM edit delete reply
Fenris is a fantasic name for any wolf or wolf like being.
CaptainZilla 20th Dec 2013, 11:03 AM edit delete reply
My Worgen Druid is called Fennris! <3
Panther 20th Dec 2013, 3:59 AM edit delete reply
If Ghath thinks this injury will stop Drogan to fly, he's stupid : dragons have their wing divided in parts to counter such wound . Drogan will just be lightly lower in fly and acrobatics

For the grey worgen , i would to see "Fenris" as name

I have to vote for Callow. Just sounds good, both as a Worgen and Death knight name. Plus, Callow is gallows with a C (the gallows being where one would be hung to death). Seems appropriate.

I like the name Rhen. *tosses a vote comment on*

Other matters. Well that'll slow Drogan down till he can get it mended/healed. But... the boss worgan's looking like hes about to become chewtoyhappyfuntime snack.

I kinda expect Gnath to use his teleport home thing again, leaving the o worgens guarding Amo, and the rest taking the mountain pass.
And i have no idea if injuries sustained while shapeshifted are evident in other forms.
Guest 21st Dec 2013, 8:08 AM edit delete reply
Fenris is fitting for `any' canine individual...but that's just it; it could be used for every single worgen out there. There is in fact, a multitude of `Fenris' on every server in Warcraft, using every conceivable spelling...which makes it overused and unoriginal

This particular worgen to be named has, intentionally or not, shown a unique personality. He portrays a mix naivete and a gormless need to please his superiors that is rather endearing, which deserves a less generalized and more descriptive name than just `Fenris'.

By the way...this is just my opinion, and is not meant to insult or belittle any of the posters on this chat page; please keep any disagreements civil. Thank you.
NykVerien 21st Dec 2013, 8:35 AM edit delete reply
I vote for Rhen, it just seems to fit him. Also, Drogan's about to have a tasty Worgen snack.
Szlius 21st Dec 2013, 8:48 AM edit delete reply
You do know that dragons have no nerves in our wing membranes? We wouldn't feel that happen.
Amocin 21st Dec 2013, 9:57 AM edit delete reply
You are not a dragon, you are a human. You can not say for sure weather or not a dragon would really have nerves in their wings.

As cats seem to have nerves in their ears, and from what i remember, Frilled lizards have them running through their frills... so why wouldnt they be in the wings?
Josh.C 21st Dec 2013, 12:10 PM edit delete reply
Of course with the way Drogan looked right there then reacted, it sort of reminds me of the time I took the very tip of one of my fingers off.

I didn't quite register the pain until I looked at the tip after realizing my finger felt wet for some reason.
Amocin 21st Dec 2013, 12:36 PM edit delete reply
Same here, I cut my hand once, so bad that I needed six stitches.. But I didnt feel pain from it until after I had to visually find where I was cut. I saw blood, and looked to my hands, and then a few seconds after that I felt pain.. Pain isnt always instant.
Dargon 22nd Dec 2013, 8:17 AM edit delete reply
I agree. There would be nerve endings within the membrain, just as there are nerve endings in the webbing between your fingers.
Otherwise, their wings would be usless as they would continusley tear the membrain on everything they came in contact with do to this lack of sensation.
It only makes sence and fits with the natural order of life.
Panther 22nd Dec 2013, 7:22 AM edit delete reply
Dragons have nerves in their wings , and even veins for "feed" it : it's not a dead "material"
Azvo 21st Dec 2013, 9:17 AM edit delete reply
I vote for 'Callow'; I feel 'Fenris' is a little overused in fantasy.

Rubinelle 21st Dec 2013, 1:55 PM edit delete reply
I'ma vote Callow...sounds fitting.

Also...never clip a dragon's wings. They can run just as fast as you can.
Ghost 21st Dec 2013, 3:30 PM edit delete reply
Well I think that on a dragon the wings come out the shoulder blades so if he damages the wings surely one of his shoulder blades or shoulder parts would be damaged, or it could be that his arm/hand could be damaged, who knows let's read and find out :)

Very nice comic so far :3

I can't wait to see what comes next, and as for the Worgen grunt needing a name... I like Rhen, it seems simple and kinda fits, seeing as how he's trying to help his commander as much as possible.

BTW... http://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=409 is a pretty awesome looking armor set, I don't mean to intrude too much but, I think it would be WICKED to see this armor show up on a blood elf or something ^-^

Unless Drogan can hold a needle with his big dragon hands, he's going to have to tell the others he is a dragon so they can heal his wing. Of course he could just have Amo do it, but where is the fun in that?
Guest 26th Dec 2013, 8:58 PM edit delete reply
Drunevil 11th Jan 2014, 4:54 PM edit delete reply
The stakes just seem a bit lower when anyone can practically heal any wound with magic, like when Serid had a sword through his shoulder. All they had to do was get the sword out and instantly heal it. I know there are some points where they feel helpless, but those points are a bit rare. Also, how many comments do you have to approve a day? It must be a large hassle, and sorry for my long comment.
Amocin 11th Jan 2014, 5:02 PM edit delete reply
Its really not that big of a deal to approve comments. I have a "select all" button that makes it very easy. Also its a good way of knowing what comments are new, just incase I am flooded and miss a few. It also helps keep the board being flooded by trolls, which it seemed to stop dead in their tracks.. Its proven more useful then anything.

Healing still has its limitations here. It takes time to cast, which should not be interrupted. It takes energy which the caster must have a reserve of. And rather then a spell always costing the same, I figure that for healing, the cost of the energy used to heal is proportional to how badly the person is wounded.
