Omg the plot thickens....
I love your way to draw dragons!!!!<3
Aetheos 20th Jun 2014, 12:13 AM edit delete reply
Well i'm going to go out on a very small limb here. i dont know much about the emerald dream despite the fact i've been there a few times. But from what i see it seems that Kinar's son is within the emerald dream? Either that or that wasn't him that was sleeping in the cradle. By the way love the expressions on the dragon. They're very well done.

I know this is what we've all been waiting for... but now that it's upon us, I'm a little apprehensive lol. can't wait to see where you take the story next, Amo! amazing as usual <3

Well, as far as rude 'awakenings' go, it was relatively fast and painless.

*gnawing sounds* Sorry, I am chewing on this stick to fight back the impatience. Another week before I might get some explanation about what is going on. *grawing sounds*

Hmm not 100% on the lore. So she is just dreaming and the emerald drakes can go into the dreams of ppl? What's her dream puppy got to do with anything? Anyways remember Serid!! It's breaking my heart that she isn't with him even in just a dream :(
dragondruid 20th Jun 2014, 1:24 AM edit delete reply
I agree with you it is sad that she isnt dreaming of him but im guessing she doesnt want to let go of her past and Mordin is why she isnt dreaming about him :(
DF 20th Jun 2014, 1:39 AM edit delete reply
Druids can enter the Emerald Dream through sleep, leaving their bodies on Azeroth. This is actually fairly common, as you can find many "barrows" in Night Elf areas that are full of 'hibernating' druids. I think actually sleeping is the only way to enter the Dream aside from one of the rare, heavily-guarded portals. Ysera, known as "The Dreamer" rules over the Emerald Dream and is well known for never opening her eyes (few exceptions, and when she does open them, she unleashes devastating powers).
chaos 20th Jun 2014, 1:13 AM edit delete reply
i love your dragons all of them
dragondruid 20th Jun 2014, 1:19 AM edit delete reply
course in the emerald dream there usually is smoke least been there on a quest in wrath of Lich king. The Emerald Dream is like a perfect world untouched by any other force to where its like back when the world was still young and only for the most case just druids and emerald dragonflight are the only ones that can go in
dragondruid 20th Jun 2014, 1:21 AM edit delete reply
Of course I love how u made this dragon im guessing hes like alittle child that just wants to come out and play with friendly peeps. That leads me to believe maybe this dragon saved kinars child when things gotten bad back when Gilneas was being invaded but thats just my theory cant wait for more :)
Dreamfox 20th Jun 2014, 5:57 AM edit delete reply
Or even more simple.
We have seen that Kinar is more powerful than she knows and usually can handle. We have seen that in the flashback, when they could barely restrain her after becoming a worgen and on a lower scale when Anders got hurt.
Maybe she sent her child physically into the Emerald Dream to safe him, but s/he(?) was already infected.
It's conceivalble that a green dragon would take care of the little one untill... I don't know.
Maybe Kinar is coming to grips with what has happened then (in part getting over the death of her husband through her new love with Serid), which is why she was drawn into this dream. And the little one would dream about being home with his happy parents.
Just guessing. Now were was that stick? Ah, there. *gnawing sounds*
Josh.C 20th Jun 2014, 12:57 PM edit delete reply
Or even it could be that Kinar is pregnant and all living things are a part of the Emerald dream no matter how small they start out.

That even brings to question if there's such a thing as reincarnation playing a part in this.

Or simply dreams might be just as substantial to the emerald dragon as any other person walking within it.
Atlas 20th Jun 2014, 1:23 AM edit delete reply
Something tells me that because this dragon is talking to Kinar that she's going to ask if all dragons can talk leading to a controversy with Anders... just opinion :P...
Nice work on the dragons design btw! :3

okay I think I have to be a WoW fan...but just one word this: what? DX
Saldura 20th Jun 2014, 10:47 AM edit delete reply
In WoW the green dragons, otherwise known as the green dragonflight or dreamwalkers, live inside a dream world/alternate dimension thingy, called the Emerald Dream.

Somehow Kinar ended up in the emerald dream where this little dragon has created an illusion, probably for the little worgen child. (although possibly the child created the illusion by dreaming) and the dragon just cleared it so they could play.
Ben Raptor 21st Jun 2014, 4:54 AM edit delete reply
why did this have to be a dream? this was so nice. T^T
Fire-Storm-Dragon 20th Jun 2014, 4:24 AM edit delete reply

Sorta reminds me a bit of the "Emerald dream" plot, in WOW. The one you would normally take part in as a Night elf.

Interestingly enough, I find it interesting how she phrased her talk with the child.

She says that like he was real and it has the form of Kinar's long dead child. Either she can play with peoples dreams or there's more to that baby then there seems.

"What's her dream puppy got to do with anything?"

Think of what the Emerald Dream is and who inhabits it. The Emerald Dream is basically the original uncorrupted 'blueprint' for Azeroth but more then that, its where the Greens have naturally resided since the rise of the original Aspects and the final resting place of not only of many worthy druids but many a creature too. Spirits of the Ancients behind each of the Druid forms also live there (Including Goldrinn the Wolf). Its quite possible that what lies in that crib isn't just a dream pup but Kinar's actual child. The Worgen curse after all is a druid form, albeit a botched one which can be passed onto non-druids. Perhaps when Worgens die, by default they go to the dream and when Joric did perhaps he made a friend.

I think that dream will make her miss Morid again, I do hope Morid will do anything to get her back, maybe some rough attack on their's base or something? XD if Morid would be like my main from wow, he would already charge like feral worgen at guardians with his claws only and get her back with force xd [I just dont know what would he do if he would find out she was "KIND OF" cheating on him with tauren]
Amocin 21st Jun 2014, 9:45 AM edit delete reply
She isnt "Kind of" cheating on Mordin.. She isnt at all. She legitimately thinks he is dead, as does the rest of her family.
Silvermane 21st Jun 2014, 3:54 PM edit delete reply
Well minus Kinar and Shai's double agent brother Ghath. Still it makes me wonder when Drogan intends to tell them. Kinar may recognize Mordin now that she's dreamt about him in his Worgen form but the others wouldn't recognize him or Ghath at all (Although Amo picked up the resemblance to Shai). I can't see a Paladin keeping such a detail a secret until just before the final battle or during it, I mean knowing that you'll be fighting against family is kind of a detail best not omitted if you want to maintain your companions trust.
Dreamfox 22nd Jun 2014, 4:32 AM edit delete reply
"'till death so us par"
To become a Death Knight, you must have been dead first.

Considering that Death Knights were spreading the Lich Kings evil, I'd say counting their death as a divorce is a good idea.

BTW, we don't know enough on how Shaidan and Amo came together or when they married.
Silvermane 22nd Jun 2014, 3:18 PM edit delete reply
@Dreamfox I don't think either Mordin or Kinar will care about such a technicality. Mordin flat out stated that Kinar is his wife so if he found out about her relationship to Serid beyond being a fellow Druid he'd probably not take it well to say the least. Kinar upon seeing Mordin would probably consider him her husband, undead or not and would probably be in shock at the revelation that he's still 'alive'. Is Kinar cheating on Mordin? No, Amocin's right; a person can't cheat on a spouse they think has been dead for years. Are they nolonger husband and wife though? I think that has more to do with their mutual feelings towards each other rather then something like being forced to become a Death Knight. The Lich King has nothing to do with these events, this is all Mordin's doing and those are the action Kinar will likely judge when seeing him again.
Dreamfox 22nd Jun 2014, 8:02 PM edit delete reply
True, true.
I was going after that 'kind of' comment. 'Kind of' is a technicallity and I just listed the technicalities, which do not invalidate Amocin's reasoning.

In any case, if Mordin isn't going from his "turn everyoine into worgen or kill them', I'd say their marriage is over in any case. But we'll have to see how that part develops.
Aetheos 23rd Jun 2014, 6:07 PM edit delete reply
While i have never seen someone get married in WoW i wouldn't think that quote has any meaning since they worship the light, not God.
Dreamfox 25th Jun 2014, 7:12 PM edit delete reply
That comment was mostly for the moralists accusing Kinar of 'cheating'. Not knowing much about the actual culture (I don't think there is much explained) in WOW I didn't want to argue with 'in game' morality.
Voxy Vox 21st Jun 2014, 9:59 AM edit delete reply
Hmmm...HMMMMM....Dah boy, was infected, but he wasnt able to withstand the transformation as a babe, Thus to save himself from his wrecked body, cast into the emerald dream. Kinar with having the presence of mordin simply around may have invoked A memory of what she did? Like im saying, the kids alive, and was infected, but is like, in a coma? Making him probably a 'druid' as well. Simply,he still see's himself as a child, seeing he has been dreaming this whole time? But maybe in actuality, he is come to what, pre-teen age? Curious curious...do tell amocin, do tell...~

Either way. Its gonna be a bit hard to set some ground rules.
Amocin 23rd Jun 2014, 1:08 AM edit delete reply
MorDIN, SeRID. The only similarities in the names is that they have an R an I and a D, but they are scrambled.. the only letters that match up are the Is being contained in the second to last letter.. Which can be said for a lot of peoples names. There is no connection from one name to the next.

He did a reset. Her shirt came from that. Have you ever had a dream where one moment you are in the ocean, swimming and enjoying the summer, and the next thing you know, you turn around and you are suddenly fighting vampires? Dream stuff, its crazy.
