Amocin 29th Jun 2015, 12:11 AM edit delete reply
I dont really attend conventions. I dont really have the time or the resources to attend, and with kids, it makes it that much more difficult.

You told us awhile back that you had family, do your wife know that you are drawing this? or is it a secret?
Amocin 29th Jun 2015, 10:21 AM edit delete reply
I'm a woman, and my husband is very well aware of this comic, and helps me in some aspects of it. If somebody is making a comic like this, and are married.. I would find it very strange if their SO doesnt know about it.
ToxicVideo 29th Jun 2015, 5:38 PM edit delete reply
Sorry that i thought that you where a man :(
Dargon 30th Jun 2015, 9:54 AM edit delete reply
Ya'know,it's funny and yet sad at the same time that EVERYONE assumes you're a Man.....
I suppose it's due to the graphic nature of the comic and that women usually are not known for drawing such. But the funny thing about it all is if you go to sites like FA,almost ALL of the adult work is done by Female Artists! It's just a funny "Stereotype" that Only Men draw adult art.
Amocin 30th Jun 2015, 10:30 AM edit delete reply
Pretty much my thoughts on it as well. I have noticed a great abundance of art from FA, more so comics, tends to come from women, and when working with other artists, its more rare for me to work along side a man then it is for me to work with a woman on art projects.

In the very beginning I used to assume male, but now I am on the opposite side, where i assume female until told otherwise.
MAGWolf 30th Jun 2015, 9:37 PM edit delete reply
Well lets be honest.. Only women can come up with a great plot to a comic <.<
Amocin 30th Jun 2015, 9:39 PM edit delete reply
Untrue, there are many great male comic writers out there. I'm not sure about furry comics, but I know I have read many comics by male teams that I have really enjoyed.
Magwolf 30th Jun 2015, 9:43 PM edit delete reply
Mostly in regards to Furry comics.
Amocin 30th Jun 2015, 9:57 PM edit delete reply
I can say, yes, within the furry community, a great deal of the good comics are done by women, but that goes back to me also knowing of very few male artists within the community. I think I can list as few as five male artists within the furry community.
Magwolf 30th Jun 2015, 9:45 PM edit delete reply
Almost majority of the furry Artists I know get sick of comics after about 10 pages. Cept Jay Naylors Better Days/Original Life that one been going on forever. Tho I like Tale of Tails by Feretta. Pretty much the only comics I read nowadays is yours and theirs.
Tikaria 30th Jun 2015, 8:17 PM edit delete reply
Sometimes its better when people think your are a man. It keeps a lot of perverts away who can't take that you are not interested.
Amocin 30th Jun 2015, 9:42 PM edit delete reply
I have had far more problems with people begging for cameos then I have with perverts. I am not willing to hide my gender for the sake of being 'safe'. Anybody who doenst take 'no' as an answer gets blocked.

Plus I think the whole "Married with Kids" thing is kinda a turn off for those seeking my affections. =P

I have read a lot of comics, but out of all of them yours is by far the best, cause you really makes the character spring to life, the story is interesting and you are pretty good at explaining the wow lore.

Ever since I started reading your strip, I had a feeling your are a Female. I always somehow was able to guess correctly on certain artist's genders. I enjoy reading your comic & you draw amazingly well too! still anxious to find out your charactors fate of Amos if she lives or perishes? & wait I shall. have fun! :)

Right on! It's awesome when a women can have a caree in a industry that has a large number of men running it. I myself have several more manly hobbies so more power to women who don't let gender stereotype dictate our lives.

That reminds me a little of Phil Foglio with a slightl variation. He mentioned that we might get reprints of his old Xxxenophile comic and just maybe even new ones...
Now that his kids are grown up.
It would e great to have it back. Never have I laughed so much over comics with sex in them again.

...is it sad that I'm a little bit sad that an adult scene is coming up? I dunno, I was super invested in the story and now we have to pause it for the adult people to get their jollies. Hm. Maybe we'll find out more about these characters?

Right there with you bud !

Guess we are the other half(?) of the comic's fanbase :"Adult scene ?! Awwww ! I wanted more of the plot !"
Whiners gotta whine.

One other thing I like this comic for is : sex scene makes sense with the plot and characters... all the time !
Keep up the good work Amo ! (Thisbeingsaiddon'toverworkforawebcomicandtakecareofyourhealthandfamilyloveyou)

How often have I read the formula:
Webcomic + WoW + Sex = YAY
only to see it change to
Webcomic + WoW + Story + Sex = Aww... is the sexscene still going?

However I don't think it was that bad befor. I mean, we have 3 cliffhangers:
1. Will Drogan bring Amo back from near death?
2. What is Kinar up to?
3. Will Mordin's atttack succee?
4. Will his Death Knights follow him in maybe killing the ones that have the knowledge to bring them back to life?
And so on.

Get so eager every week just to see the next page, really love the story! By the way, if I may ask about the war that is going on, what do the death knight's want from everyone? Or is that gonna be later on?

Zje Death Knight are imprisoned in this area by a shield.
They want out.
Then they want to change everyone they can into worgen and kill anyone they can't change.

Seems like she's going to use a rather convincing argument.

I like this female Worgen. She's a bit less...feminine? Think that's the word. Less feminine than Kinar and Amo.

Actually, that's not the right word. Hold on.

...More mature? Serious? Tougher?

You know what, never mind. I just like this female Worgen a lot. Hope to see more of her.

Not that I dislike either Kinar or Amo, but I think this one has a slight edge over them.

Bold, confident, self-assured, cocksure (*snicker*), brazen or dauntless...I think those are the words you're looking for.

I like her too. This depiction makes me wish there were a greater variety of available `skins' and features for our worgen characters in Warcraft, which are woefully uninventive.

Windwalker 29th Jun 2015, 7:55 AM edit delete reply
Found it! Right after I posted my previous comment.

As a Worgen she is basically a humanoid wolf, and she manages to make the wolf part more prominent in a good way.

Best term would probably be that's she a bit rougher. Kinar and Amo are both rather smooth characters in appearance, and I like how this pulls off the 'I'm actually a walking and talking wolf' thing.

Amocin 29th Jun 2015, 12:54 PM edit delete reply
I knew somebody would say something at some point in time about DK's and bodily fluids.

DKs bodies are to be treated as if they are 'alive' due to the magic that preserves them. They dont rot or dry out, or any of the other normal things a corpse might do, like the blood pooling to one area of the body and staying there.

Their bodies can function the same as if they were alive, because they are 'greater undead'. Kinda like the difference between a vampire and a zombie, they have their own rules even though they are both walking corpses.
Rasminar 29th Jun 2015, 3:28 PM edit delete reply
Aaaaah alright, that makes much more sense now.
Kale 29th Jun 2015, 4:46 PM edit delete reply
I tend to think of it as a Death Knight being undead but unrotting and mostly living by magic means would still retain MOST body functions as breathing isn't a nessessity for them being the magic is how they self preserve. Thinks like complex thinking, retaining memory and emotion would stay, but I beleive eating and staying hydrated is no longer required. Sleep is optional and of course sex drive is mroe a mind and body thing involving blood...which death knights retain I beleive.
PANTHER 29th Jun 2015, 12:43 PM edit delete reply
A surprising thing , even if

Garth seems very huge/body-builded compared to the female worgen and in despite of the fact she's closer to the "camera" , in the last panel
Amocin 29th Jun 2015, 12:55 PM edit delete reply
I think that has more to do with the male worgen 'mane'. It makes them seem bigger then they actually are.
Rembrant 29th Jun 2015, 2:11 PM edit delete reply
Hmm, okay. I do hope we get to learn this lady's name before the sex begins. It's nice to have another female character join the story line.

Also something interesting here. Her words make it sound as though sex for death knights is not as enjoyable as it would be if they were alive, and it makes one wonder if other things they can do feel the same or if it's, shall we say "muddled down" because of their undead state. Like, for example, maybe food doesn't taste as it used to? It's an intriguing concept.

Ghath does seem to be rather irritated by the lady's question, and the question here is if he really means what he says or if he's putting on a facade to make it so nobody suspects he's another mole like Mondos was. Or who knows, maybe he's protecting his mole status but also really means what he says. As for the lady, though, she better be careful about who she talks to about her desire to live again, cause I'd bet that Mordin would not be happy at all to learn some of the death knights working for him would like to be revived.

Hmmm.......that's an interesting point. The idea of Mortality and the fear of the possible loss of it. That does lend a new spectrum to the story,as I was under the impression that they were more or less unhappy with being little more than "walking corpses"....However I can see where the "Undead" in their current state would certainly have it's advantages!
But then again.....who truly would want to "Live forever"?
guest 13th Nov 2016, 11:48 PM edit delete reply
Perks of being a Death Knight: Live forever, small amount of things can kill you, don't hunger, and possibly don't need to sleep

Cons of being a Death Knight: loves ones die around you while you live on.

I don't remember where I heard it, but I think it was some dialogue from WoW that said:

I guess Gath isn't really 'afraid' of becoming mortal again, but it may be part of it.

Elderscolls 1st Jul 2015, 9:37 PM edit delete reply
the idea of living forever or existing forever is a ridiculous idea since people only live for a few decades or sometimes a century so people consider just living a few millennia would be preferable to a short life yet no person would be able to live or exist for millions or billions of years without going completely insane so the idea of immortality being better than a short lifespan is illogical and short sided (and amo the comic is still great)
Nightmask 2nd Jul 2015, 8:30 AM edit delete reply
You're being a bit illogical there really, it's not a given one would suffer sanity slippage if they could live for centuries or millenia and it's certainly not being short-sided to think an extended existence would be good (after all humanity moved its average lifespan from just a few decades to nearly a century and doesn't seem to be a problem so far). A longer lifespan can give you the opportunity to make up for pas mistakes that you couldn't before, or make great works possible that a short lifespan would prevent their happening.
BloodshedSabre 2nd Jul 2015, 11:29 AM edit delete reply
What you are failing to take into account NightMask, is a century is extremely short compared to forever.
I'll make this easy, if you lived forever always watching friends and family die, always watching great tradegy sweeping across your home and world, you would go insane rather quickly with all things considered.
Not to mention the same sights over and over again would be maddening to the point of hallucinations and scizophrenia.

The human mind, or any other mind is NOT built to last forever.
THIS, IS, NATURE!!!! *kicks foolish ideals into pit*
Amocin 2nd Jul 2015, 1:34 PM edit delete reply
What you should keep in mind is that in the world of Azeroth, there are many creatures that have a much longer lifespan. Drogan for instance is nearing 500 years old. His father was a few thousand years old.

In a world where lifespans range from as low as 25 years, to damn near immortality by our standards, the views on long life spans may be different.

Keep in mind as well, that though our own minds may not be able to handle being immortal, that doesnt always mean that people arent going to want to obtain some form of a longer life span for fear of the afterlife/unknown. Maybe after they watch their family and friends die out they may wish for death, but at a younger age, they are not really thinking of those factors, or how they will deal with them when the time comes.
BloodshedSabre 2nd Jul 2015, 3:36 PM edit delete reply
While you have a good point Amo, it's simply nature and the (I would hope) universally known law of 'nothing lasts forever and everything is finite'.
I don't understand fear of death though, what makes the thought of dying or the afterlife scary, why fear something when you have no idea about it. (Please try not to take that sentence as an invitation to toss flames at me)
Amocin 2nd Jul 2015, 5:10 PM edit delete reply
No flames will be cast.

While this may be universally known, that doesnt mean people are willing to accept that truth.

Though I do not know what we are disagreeing with at this point. Ghath, and many others, will still attempt immortality, regardless of facts or logic.
BloodshedSabre 2nd Jul 2015, 7:15 PM edit delete reply
According to my exhausted brain logic the argument was on the topic of illogical immortality vs logical immortality.
ANYWAY! Who cares nothing is important anymore. :)

I can't wait until Ghath gets a heart to heart with Shai, that'll be interesting and enevitably awesome!
Nightmask 3rd Jul 2015, 9:04 AM edit delete reply
You've a VERY cynical outlook on things, and contrary to what you think I did indeed take into account that living longer means seeing more people you've known and cared about die as well, BUT at no point is that somehow going to have any kind of certain lead-in to madness for anyone.

No matter how long you live you have to learn to accept that you'll likely outlive people you know and care about. To date we've had at least a dozen humans make it to over 130 years and none of them went insane or otherwise descended into madness because they outlived people by the generations.

The truth is why some might have problems with living for centuries or millenia many wouldn't, because the human mind is a strange mix of inflexible and adaptable. The survivors of the Holocaust witnessed death on a massive scale yet still managed to hold it together and live long productive lives. If scientists found a way to move humanity's lifespan from a century to a millenia tomorrow we'd have more to worry about from the initial adjustment period including trying to deal with the expanding population than we would from people going insane because they somehow crossed some arbitrary 'living too long' point.
BloodshedSabre 3rd Jul 2015, 5:46 PM edit delete reply
That's all true and dandy, however I would be inclined to assume you have not spoken to a person of age 130 and didn't witness the Holocaust. As for me having an extremely cynical view on everything, I am a realist.
*eats incoming flames*
Dreamfox 5th Jul 2015, 7:59 PM edit delete reply
I may not remember the holocaust, but I remember the last decade of the cold war and living with the threat of nuclear annihilation every day. I distinctively remember a picture in the paper comparing the number of tanks and nukes NATO and the Warsaw Pact had. Living in Germany, which would have taken the brunt of the first attack was frightening if you could not ignore it. Something surprisingly many people could do.
Maybe that's why I don't regard terrorrism as a personal threat. After living with the thought of tanks duing it out in my backyard it seems a little... inconsequential.

On the other side we have people wishing themselves back to East Germany. Yes, they are romanticising it quite a bit, but I agree with them in one point. For the people there it was a simpler time.
Nightmask 8th Jul 2015, 4:36 PM edit delete reply
No, when your position is 'everyone would go insane because nobody could ever hope to deal with the loss of loved ones over centuries' that's not realism that's cynicism. Realism would be as I noted, that it would depend on the individual and that people in life have to learn to deal with the loss of loved ones over time a longer lifespan is not going to somehow make it where they can't handle losses when they could before.
Dargon 4th Jul 2015, 10:23 AM edit delete reply
Great point Nightmask! I fully agree with you, even though I too am a "Realist".
Dreamfox 5th Jul 2015, 7:48 PM edit delete reply
I agree that immortality is not for everyone. And if you become immortal, your outlook will change. But there is one catch. Nearly all stories I have read has immortals remembering the loss of their friends and relatives over time, but rarely do we see one that focuses on the good times they had.

Adult scene or no, I look forward to seeing if these two end up defecting. Mordin's already revealed himself to his wife, risked the ire of green dragonflight by creating a new nightmare space in the Emerald Dream, lost a right hand Worgen, and had a prisoner escape from his base... Be interesting to see what more could go wrong for him. Love Worgens but if new ones are to be created if I lived in that universe I'd prefer it be by choice not force. Force is what led to the original Worgen getting locked in the dream and Gilneas being overrun by raging ferals. Mordin has to go down

most of you missed the later part of my earlier comment when I said most people living actually long amounts of times like millions or billions of years would be inconceivable to most people even wows elves which didn't live more than 100,000 years people don't tend to even think in actual term of living a long life when they imagine immortality they always think short term thousands of years is actually not a long time by cosmic terms
Dreamfox 5th Jul 2015, 8:05 PM edit delete reply
There is a scinec fiction series that has a few relatively immortlas in it. Meaning they don't age, most poisons and diseases don't work on them.
Some of them are about 3.00 years old, on of them about 15..#000 years. Most of them are still very relatable with one exception, but then he saw a little too much of the universe.
One has spend several million years walking (special occasion) whil time moved differently for his comrades. When among mortals, he makes sure to remember things like eating, drinking, breathing and sleeping. He simply does no witsh to make them feel uncomfortable. It has been said, that he startet out human, but what he is now is something only he can define together with some lifeforms that left the physical brhind.
