Yeah put the Bull-lady in her place.
But, calling her a "Blank Canvas" is pretty harsh.
When this is over she challenges him to a fight which gets their blood boiling as they exchange blows and insults. Would be a fun scene, but I don't think it will hppen.
If he heard her badmouthing his daughter, this is one of his few ways he can have some payback.
And he is right. Why train to become a warrior, if you are going to be the quivalent of a city guard?
Which somehos reminds me of this exchange:
Prince Lir: "What good is magic, if it can't save a Unicorn?"
Schmendrick the Magician: "That's what heroes are for."
Best movie ever.
:)
Also I love the reference in the title.
Oh man Koutak just destroyed her. X)
Excelent job Amo.
Looking forward to next week already.
Wow....after all this time, Koutack REALLY knows his stuff.
Being a warrior means to fight and protect you hold dear to yourself.
Scars are proof of your efforts and experiences you've been put through.
Sicha has NONE of those qualities which in-turns makes her a talker not walker for life-or-death situations.
Thanks so much for putting so much time and effort into this strip alone.
It's extremely meaningful for everybody to read this strip as it is a life lesson for seniors and experience others.
Thanks so much again,
Mangix.
sorry if my english is bad I'm from germany but still i love this comic ! keep up the good work :)
needed to say this xD
Not even Wolverine can heal that burn!
...Holy Sh!t.
☑ REKT
And damn, that was a hell of a burn.
Makes me feel a little better about some of my own scars......Though I am no warrior, I do have "Trophies" from my young and Dumb days.
And for all of the True Warriors out there, I hold my glass up High to You and What You Do for Us and Your Country, YOU are the True Heroes Here!! And God Bless Each and Every One of You!
"Kinar is a risk, let's kill her before she becomes a danger."
Considering he and his entire family has been aware of the problem for a while now, they all choose to live with the risk. If it's because of her badmouthing Kinar, it says a lot about how he see's Kinar's relationship with Serid.
Anyway, here we have a case of a warrior taklking to a (would be?) warrior. And seeing her face, it looks like he hit a point she might not even have been aware of.
Nicely done, just... another week to see what kind of reply she comes up *sniff* ;)
Shai: hell yeah it did
You might apply all of them, baby! :)
I admit, I'm hesitant with Koutack...but he just solidified himself in my book. WTG!
I see many young kids in the service strutting around like they own the place and the only thing marking their skin is a bit of ink they got.
I usually say just one thing to them and that is "kid, I was in and out of wars longer than you've been alive, I buried more comrades than I care to remember, and in all my years I've been alive, I have learned one thing, you can paint yourself up with tatts until you look like a $10 hooker, but until you get your first scar you aint a soldier."
Basically like the line from a country song "tattoos and scars are different things"
As my old CO once said to me, no matter the uniform, no mater the side, all soldiers are brothers and sisters.
The shared experience makes us family, no matter the race, nation or creed.
That seems like a wiser choice. :P
Unless it's virtual/fake battle. Then it's better to fight with even odds. I mean it's no fun when a team of 20 people gang upon a team of five, right? ;)
English isn't my native language, so I apologize if I'm being unclear.
Oh, and I would like to say that you're making a great comic here, Amocin. I like it very much. :)
Not going to the fight?
Fight and risk death for what you believe?
And what good is it to be a warrior if you have no cause, no belief to fight for?
Nibd you, we are speaking about warriors, not soldiers, mercenaries or city guards. Warriors with a code, or a cause, that belief in something. Something they belief is worth fighting and even dying for.
And that's what this is about. Not a practical question, but a philosophical one.
And it seems Sicha has no answer (well, we'll se next monday).
"Nibd..."
I don't think I came across this abbreviation before. Could you tell me what "Nibd" stands for? Google told me it means (among other things) "Non-Inflammatory Bowel Disease", but I don't think it fits in this context. ;)

Viverred: You're right. Armor isn't perfect and it has weak points that can be exploited by knowledgeable combatant with right tools. Unfortunately, movies tend to depict armor as not so useful, where any arrow can pierce thick plate armor (and not those weak spots) like it was sheet of paper.
I make characters I dont agree with, I have them say things I would never say. I have them do things I dont think is right.. Thats the point of being a writer/artist, to capture and create something beyond yourself.
Old man my ass!
Koutack definately gained alot of respect in my book.
Good thing its cold out, won't be to hard to find ice to apply to that burn.
You doing a reference there?
It stood out quite a bit, I figured it had to be a reference.
And more?
Likely? No.
(Burn)
(Angry indignation, attempt to slap Koutack)
(Grabbing of arm, pulling in close to restrain)
(Struggling back in anger, looks up)
(Eyes make contact, possible feinged struggling against Koutack's grip continuing as they stare at each other. Then more feigned struggling as they mutually pull each other closer)
(Mumbling comment questioning "So you think I'm very pretty...")
(Full embrace, and kiss. Further action.)
Of course, I felt this had a 1% chance of happening, but that's how I saw it going down.
But , wait ; he's missing a fang !!! O_o
Nice one amo
I sooo wanna put here Thug Life ;P
xoxo voldemort..
Seems to me Sicha has a point. If I may paraphrase something I read elsewhere: "a warrior with 100 scars should have learned his lesson 99 scars ago".
If somebody kicks your feet out from under you, you learn to watch your feet, and make sure you are sure footed.. If somebody new comes in and disarms you, somebody should not then say "Didnt you learn your lesson from when that guy knocked you over?" They are two separate lessons.
I have loved MLP since I was five, I even have a lot of my original ponies from when I was young.. My favorite being "Steamer". There is art of him in that file. I kept my toys thinking that one day I would have a daughter who could enjoy them as well.. Oddly enough I was half right, I have a son who loves them and even more odd is that he both loves trains and ponies...which co-inside with my fav pony from when I was young.. Somewhat eerie.
savage burn.
eventually i started reading it and, while i admit that i was looking forward to the adult content(and wasn't disappointed when reading it), i gradually started getting more and more into storyline; even more so than the adult content.
i'd like to be able to show this to other people, but i'm not sure if they'd be into the adult content(me and my brother are the only furries that i know of in the family). do you know if there will be a clean version of this comic in the future?
admittedly, i'm not sure if i should be asking this or not. ^v^;
