How close was the Worgen vote?
Amocin 4th Jul 2016, 10:27 AM edit delete reply
Amocin
28/32, so only a four vote diff. It jumped around a lot when votes were being cast, and was often tied.
Guest 4th Jul 2016, 3:03 PM edit delete reply
DEMAND VOTE RECOUNT.
Just kidding lol,
but it really is a shame that he won't become a worgen, and man that vote was close.
Guest 5th Jul 2016, 6:15 PM edit delete reply
Can't say I disagree with the results. Part of the charm of the story is that Serid and Kinar have a socially unacceptable relationship, much like a Capulet dating a Montague, a Hatfield courting a McCoy, a Mackintosh wooing a Cameron...etc. A good bit of its narrative strength stems from the taboo nature of their relationship and the implicit message that love transcends those boundaries. That is lost if Serid becomes a Worgen because all of a sudden nobody would think twice about them being together.
JohnCollins5091 7th Jul 2016, 1:46 PM edit delete reply
The issues would be swapped, really.

I can't imagine Serid being all too happy with becoming a Worgen. I figure it would also become a bit harder for him to keep his older Tauren friendships as they now see him as a Worgen rather than a Tauren, and they would also be wary of him, fearing that his condition might be 'contagious', you know, suddenly Taurens are vulnerable to the Worgen curse.

Why are Mordins eyes like that.
DK 4th Jul 2016, 10:48 AM edit delete reply
Because he's a Death Knight. All Death Knight eyes glow.
Mako 4th Jul 2016, 2:37 PM edit delete reply
I think they meant the expression in the fourth panel, not the glow.
Guest 4th Jul 2016, 6:17 PM edit delete reply
Kinar's dragging him back to the Emerald Dream, based on the green fog.

Now comes that awkward part of being stuck with people you don't know, because the mutual party has buggered off.

What the-- *Chokes on popcorn* What's that mist??? Is it the Green Dragon?? Shai?? Damn, your story and your cliffhangers are so exquisite, Amocin!!!! Great job as always!!!

Wow... I have to agree with the last panel... heh... yeah, that caught me off guard completely >v<
Silegna 4th Jul 2016, 10:41 AM edit delete reply
It's Druidic Magic. Mordin was a Druid in life, and in this comic, you keep some of the powers.
Vintium 4th Jul 2016, 6:59 PM edit delete reply
But he did look surprised about that...

Amocin 4th Jul 2016, 10:25 AM edit delete reply
Amocin
Emerald dream stuff.
Guest 4th Jul 2016, 7:16 AM edit delete reply
Interesting plan. You either hope to seal him away in the Emerald Dream for good, or the madness of facing what was once her husband causes her to go feral again. Either is not a good end for him and either provides a distraction. (I don't believe he can be turned.)
Anon 4th Jul 2016, 7:25 AM edit delete reply
Ah. I'm sad he won't become a worgen. I would've loved to have seen that. It'd make him become Alliance, as well as the fact that he gets to do the dirty stuff with her.

Because it's always important to carry your jolly green smoke bombs with you regardless of the scenario. But I feel really back for serid… kinar doing that has got to hurt on the inside, and that is a crap feeling that I personally know… I just hope he will be ok…
Greyhair 4th Jul 2016, 7:56 AM edit delete reply
Um... Amo, was that planned from beginning (Once the plot got to this point)? I'm rather surprised by this decision.
Novali 4th Jul 2016, 11:47 AM edit delete reply
Novali
I believe this is a trick of hers and she is not actually abandoning Serid or her baby.
Amocin 4th Jul 2016, 1:25 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
You might have to be more specific as to what it was that was planned from the beginning..
Greyhair 6th Jul 2016, 10:48 AM edit delete reply
The Kinar's decision to stay with Mordin. She was with Serid for the whole series before.
Amocin 6th Jul 2016, 12:13 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
Yes, I was planning on this particular thing happening from the beginning.
Greyhair 7th Jul 2016, 2:08 AM edit delete reply
Oh. OK, thanks.
Okami 4th Jul 2016, 7:59 AM edit delete reply
I love the pokemon reference with the title and the "I choose you"! Moreso, I love Mordin's expression when she tells him.
Xilluminum 4th Jul 2016, 8:13 AM edit delete reply
Wait wtf? Did she just vanish in green smoke? Like... why? Don't tell me this is the emerald dream again
druidofthewolf 4th Jul 2016, 12:01 PM edit delete reply
no she teleporting them to or through the emerald dream

Mordin: "What is this mist?"

Kinar: "It's privacy gas, so no one can bother us."

Mordin: "Lol; gas."

Kinar: "Shut up, Mordin."
Question Guy 4th Jul 2016, 10:54 AM edit delete reply
So...just a question,don't get mad,but will you ever show a how do I put it...kinda of a rape scene?
Amocin 4th Jul 2016, 12:18 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
Not likely in this comic.. If I ever did a rape scene though, it would focus more on the emotional aspects rather than the sexual ones.. Which means it wouldnt be a sexy scene, and nothing would be seen that wasnt necessary.

I know its fantasy, but I do not think I could manage several pages of serializing a traumatic event. It would make me extremely uncomfortable and I am sure comments from those who like that kind of thing would make me equally uncomfortable.
Kale 4th Jul 2016, 3:10 PM edit delete reply
I'm personally immunized to most things like that...but I can definately see where a lot of artists who don't do this are coming from yea. I think its more I have a 'fantasy to Reality' line of thought myself. I'm fully against it realistically, but online stuff of it in art like this doesn't bother me. I'm also unbudging in that oddly fringing on hypocritical thought process if we can call it that.

Also yes I've seen comments for the ages on people who get their 'MyFetish.Jpeg' and I can almost guarentee that they make ME uncomfortable with people. Personally if ya never do it I'm fine with it, besides the entire idea of this comic doesn't revolve around focusing on traumatic events to begin with. Be pointless to bother trying to change what you have going so far just to add that.
Question Guy 4th Jul 2016, 5:27 PM edit delete reply
That's the thing I was most interested about really, the emotional aspects, how the characters would change based on those events, not really reffering to the sex scenes
withpuppys 9th Jul 2016, 4:39 PM edit delete reply
i know i dont have much say, but i would never be able to read a scene look that, even if it focused on the emotional aspects, because it strikes way too close to home
Novali 4th Jul 2016, 11:45 AM edit delete reply
Novali
Well he's staying a sexy cow man but is there a possibility in the future of a dream sequence where he becomes one?
Amocin 4th Jul 2016, 1:26 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
I dont know if I can make that work, but if I can figure out a way, sure.
TracerFox 8th Jul 2016, 11:54 AM edit delete reply
What about a possible non-canon art extra showing us what he'd look like as a Worgen?
Flossy 8th Jul 2016, 10:48 PM edit delete reply
Perhaps as a nightmare?
SiriusLeeLost 4th Jul 2016, 12:18 PM edit delete reply
Don't suppose we can get an alternate timeline skit of him becoming a Worgen? It would of been interesting to see how things played out. Wish I had known about the vote earlier :p

oh dear. were will they turn up. I hope your well. danny.

So, a double-agent DK, a feral worgen kid and a very confused birb form druid walk into a castle...
Hitokimi 4th Jul 2016, 2:01 PM edit delete reply
She wasn't really given much of a choice really.

Mordin gave an ultimatum. She could side with her son, brother, and lover..and watch them either be used against her, or killed in front of her, or she could not.

By choosing Mordin, he ultimately get what he wants. A way to control the Emerald Dream, and very possibly spread the worgan curse through that by 'infecting' every other druid's primal soul with the curse.

We already know that things that happen in the Emerald Dream effect the people outside of it, if they're effected within it.

And Mordin himself already said he had no further use or need for her Brother, and that his son was just 'a means to an end' He had 'other' feral worgan.

With them both gone her brother can now get himself, Serid, and Jor, out of danger and back to the others were they had hopefully give the cure to Jor.

Yaaayyy!! Sired will remain a Turan! :)

dragondruid 4th Jul 2016, 2:50 PM edit delete reply
on the vote for serid i did choose him becoming a worgan but was conflicted on the vote and went towards worgan but now at least it didnt matter which i choose ill still be happy either way cause i like relationships being unique of 2 different races coming together u dont see that often at times
Sight 4th Jul 2016, 3:15 PM edit delete reply
Sooooooo, what just happened? Im a bit confused Amo. Please clarify, is she now imprisoned, or did she teleport to get away?
Train Samurai 4th Jul 2016, 4:15 PM edit delete reply
Question Amo, Maybe I miss a page but Kinar does know that the Worgen holding her bird is her Big Brother all the time? Because she doesn't look surprise.
Amocin 4th Jul 2016, 4:55 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
She was told he was alive, but she didnt know what he looked like.
Vintium 4th Jul 2016, 6:56 PM edit delete reply
So, there is that little side-lore implying that Tauren are products of the first druids who never wanted to change back, and so could make that their permanent form - probably by being simply born that way, which requires the mother to not change form for 1 year... I'd say that Tauren can't become Worgen in the first place because they're all druids AND a Druid Tauren is double-protected from being infected.
Rankamateur 5th Jul 2016, 4:00 AM edit delete reply
Can you cite the source of this lore? I have to wonder if this isn't just conjecture, because the published lore I've found states that Tauren were around long before any of them became druids. Other entries say that they are one of the oldest original species on Azeroth, and there is a theory that they are the progeny of a bull-like ancient.
Knyn 6th Jul 2016, 11:37 AM edit delete reply
Lore I've seen suggested the Tauren were around at least before the War of the Scarab, which iirc predates the sundering. Can't remember where I read it, but I was pretty sure I had.

This is getting good a twist in the story however a worgen serif would of been great to see if only people enjoyed change... Keep it up Amocin, love the comic and its one of few reasons I wake up on Monday mornings
Anders 5th Jul 2016, 10:43 AM edit delete reply
In the cast you said that Anders does not talk but we clearly saw him talking to Amo in a page
Amocin 5th Jul 2016, 2:15 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
"Does not" is not the same as "Can not".
TSLarimer 5th Jul 2016, 12:39 PM edit delete reply
I think on a story level, it's better that Serid remain a Tauren, even though I sort of wanted to see him as a worgen. However... Perhaps this can happen with Sicha instead. It would be an interesting taste of karma.

For the record, I really like Sicha. Readers have bashed her, but I think her reaction to Kinar and Serid's relationship is absolutely understandable.
Dark Phoenix 5th Jul 2016, 2:25 PM edit delete reply
I can figure out her choice of faction. Part of me knows that she's doing this for serid and what not but the other part is screaming that she's about to break serids heart.

Good job Amocin. You got me emotional and that's a first out of all the comics I've read. This is the only to make me feel anything.
ArticAkita 6th Jul 2016, 1:03 AM edit delete reply
Whatever became of the green dragon?
Lykaelos 6th Jul 2016, 4:57 AM edit delete reply
Even though the vote to turn him worgen failed, perhaps we'll see him as such in one of the monthly rewards or a side project. :3
Kaia Krystal 6th Jul 2016, 6:22 AM edit delete reply

CaptianCommando 8th Jul 2016, 5:54 AM edit delete reply
I admit I didn't think that would happen, but I only hope the little one can be cured from that.
Aetheos 8th Jul 2016, 11:47 AM edit delete reply
Well honestly, he's at the mercy of the author at this point lol. In regular WoW lore it would probably take strong night elvish magics. As the potions that cured the gilnean worgen usually only worked for recent cases. In this case Jorik's been a feral worgen for years now, unless he's just kept in that state.
Captain Commando 9th Jul 2016, 4:40 AM edit delete reply
True, but still through. 3 for the price of one, she is needed for something I am guessing that or her husband still holds some emotion left in him.
