I know this is a drastic shift in the way things are being shaded.. but i still want to do fully shaded pages... this style is a lot easier on my hand.. It may take a few weeks to ease into.. but please be patient with me.. I will get it. I just cant keep up with the cell shading the way I have been doing it, I always need to rest my hand after, and its just not going to work in the long run for my health.

As much as I hate to admit it, he's absolutely right. The world has never responded to soft words, only action. One has only to check world history to see the truth in his statement.
Guest 11th Jun 2018, 12:36 PM edit delete reply
Are you forgetting Ghandi, or Martin Luther King Jr.? They both made a difference with their soft words; the world certainly did respond.
Amocin 11th Jun 2018, 5:18 PM edit delete reply
Those people dont exist in this world...

Though there are examples of kinder people making a huge difference.
Cap'n Jack 13th Jun 2018, 8:41 PM edit delete reply
Even in the real world, those men only got recognition because of violence. Peaceful protest only works when it is an alternative to violence. Both are necessary. Powerful people only do the right thing when they have ran out of all other options.
Miroku 16th Jun 2018, 2:55 PM edit delete reply
as the author said dont exist in that world. Though while they did make a big difference its due to the people they fought with those kind words.

They dont always work. just like violence and brute force dont always work

But, that doesn't mean that we stop striving for peace and continue killing each other. Peace is a journey of a thousand miles and it must be taken one step at a time. Yes, sometimes words doesn't work, but on the flip side of that coin. It may make the difference. The pen is mightier than the sword. That is what I believe and I am not ready to turn my back on it.
Golden Dragon 11th Jun 2018, 2:35 PM edit delete reply
Also one more point. In times of war never forget the possibility of peace and in times of peace never forget the possibility of war. The world does respond to soft words. You are just looking at the vast majority and not the small portion that does. I think that's why its called the "ripple effect". Sometimes the smallest thing, even a tiny raindrop, can make a big difference. Sometimes its the small things, the tiniest acts of kindness, that keeps the darkness at bay.
kaleshibata 11th Jun 2018, 9:30 PM edit delete reply
The full truth in that statement is mearly because talking doesn't solve anything if no one's willing to agree on anything. its the curse of the human race, and its the curse of any group of unalike people in any format really.

Mordin's just another case of being roped into thinking that if he forces the idea on people it'll do something. All it will inevitably succeed at is a endless bloody war that everyone forgets the purpose of. At the same time it seems like he doesn't quite believe his own words either.
Aetheos 14th Jun 2018, 5:38 AM edit delete reply
Words are one of the most powerful inventions man has made. Remember that Charisma in the hands of the right individuals can change the course of history for peace or destruction. Ghandi and Hitler are two sides of that coin.

But as I was meaning to say in my sleep-deprived rambling some time ago, Violence has traditionally achieved VERY little in-universe that didn’t fall apart in the mid-long term...
There has to be a middle ground between complete passivity, and the standard, pointless bickering or the two major powers...

while over the top ultra accurate looking detail is nice to have I think many of your devoted followers like myself would rather you not break your hands trying to give us this.

Mordin is missing his lower fangs.
Amocin 11th Jun 2018, 11:14 AM edit delete reply
For some reason I thought he never had them... I will fix that.
Guest 13th Jun 2018, 9:31 AM edit delete reply
I noticed that Koutack is missing his lower fangs on the previous page as well
Amocin 13th Jun 2018, 2:26 PM edit delete reply
That one has always been missing.

I want her to hugh him....and just hold on.
Maryalee 11th Jun 2018, 8:15 PM edit delete reply
Who let Mordin into the BfA Beta? He's not supposed to be seeing that.

Actually, I didn't really want to see what I've seen. PallyTaur is going to hide in The Sanctuary of Light and pray until the Old God manifests and gives the idiots on both sides something else to beat on. Or until she doesn't have to kill innocent people, whichever comes first.

P.S Please do not destroy your hands to produce a comic Amo. It's not worth your health. Most of us are reading for the story, it's good enough to hold us. Family/health first; comic after everything else.

I vote Mordin has sex with Dorgan and gets his life back. Same with Gath, well maybe not Gath. He likes being dead.
Gantradies 12th Jun 2018, 6:11 AM edit delete reply
is him.
in the setting, Violence has NEVER permanently solved anything, just caused future complications.
shattering the dark portal,both times?
left the "victors" stuck with running huge internment camps, lead to the loss of a generation of leadership in Draenor's shattering.
the young prince's attempt's to put down the cult of the damned?
quite the victory he achieved THERE :p
all of the petty, meaningless Alliance-Hoard squabbles that result in nothing for either side but another year of deadlock, of men and women being kept away from their fields fighting over territory neither side keeps long enough to profit from before being forced to retreat?

the way the Night Elves treated Illiden after he COLOSSALLY screw up? eventually drove him to snap and genuinely become and enemy.\
being passive achieves nothing.
waging war gets you just enough to feel its loss when it turns to ashes in your mouth...

Concerning the above statement concerning MLK and Gandhi, bear in mind that those same two people were assassinated for their statements and beliefs. They aren't the only ones throughout world history, either; Pretty much anyone who has ever told us to live in harmony and love one another has been killed for what they've said, whereas those who would do unrestrained harm to the world and those who live in it are only able to be stopped when met with their own destructive tools. While sometimes miracles may occur and people will listen to a voice of peace, rarely ever does that collective desire for peace come not withstanding that same audience's own exhaustion from a major, long-lasting, and bloody conflict.

We are not ready for world peace. Not by a long shot.

The look of her face - a cold bucket of water in the shock of reality.

Okay.., I wanna give her a comforting hug. That and she IS cute.

This shading look better than previous style to me.
Both are nice, but this one take the cake! :)

I was wondering when this conversation would occur. It kind of leaves me feeling like Mordin could still be reached despite his current convictions concerning the world at large. But then again one can never know until the story is told in its entirety. Will be awaiting the next page with great expectation Amo, and also, do what you have to to keep your hands and wrists in good health, I've Arthritis in both so I know how that is, also, I think your work still looks really good with this different technique you are using dear artist. =^.^=

He's lost hope. . .
Aetheos 14th Jun 2018, 5:47 AM edit delete reply
With a lich watching his every move, you never know what he's actually thinking.
Rasminar 14th Jun 2018, 10:18 AM edit delete reply
He's got a point, who knows what he really desires when he can be taken direct control over at any time.
Maryalee 14th Jun 2018, 7:25 PM edit delete reply
By that same token, were the Lich to take direct control of Mordin he would instantly know "everything" that Mordin did. Mordin knows this, so I am taking on faith that what he is saying IS what he really believes. He more than anyone knows that he can't play mind games with a being that can control minds.

I know you're not married to WoW lore, but some of the choices you've made for the characters do make me wonder sometimes... Such as, has ANY druid in-lore become a Death Knight? For some reason I was under the impression that all DKs were once Paladins. And for that matter, weren't DKs created *before* the worgen curse? ((Worgens, after all, come from a later expansion than DKs)) Doesn't that mean that all possible Worgen DKs are actually from the Silverpine/Lordaeron worgen and not Gilneans? Or, from the earliest worgens, who were originally Night Elves?
Amocin 18th Jun 2018, 12:39 PM edit delete reply
Every race has been turned into a DK, even ones that dont have access to Paladins. The very first DKs were warlocks if I remember correctly, so it is not specific to just Paladins. Keep in mind too, that there are Worgen DKs in game.. so not even Blizzard is married to its own lore.
Pufnstuff 2nd Jul 2018, 10:05 AM edit delete reply
I suppose it's true that WoW ignores lore for many things... For example, you can see Druid characters at various points in-game whose races cannot be Druids. I had just become really interested in DKs because of reading about them here... I noticed while making my own Tauren DK (Bleach, Farstriders realm) that all PC Knights were "made" during the 3rd War. But at the same time, my Alli DK is also a Worgen... I guess I'll just stay confused about Lore. 9__9
