Oh Kinar, she just does not deserve any of this heartache. Not any more

And poor Amo, she did what was right and what she had to do. But it must break her own heart to have had to break Kinars, that’s her sister right there
Guesticus 23rd Mar 2020, 8:18 AM edit delete reply
She looks sad in the last panel :(
Guest 23rd Mar 2020, 1:47 PM edit delete reply
This is so sad. She had to bury him one time and bow she has to go bury him again a second.

I'm imagining that for Kinar growing that graveplant helps her with remembering Mordin as he was in life rather than what he became after his death.
GOB 23rd Mar 2020, 9:54 PM edit delete reply
Umm, Denor was her husband, Mordin was the bad guy.
Amocin 23rd Mar 2020, 10:14 PM edit delete reply
Mordin was the name Denor took after becoming a Death Knight, they are the same person.
GOB 23rd Mar 2020, 10:19 PM edit delete reply
I know. Windwalker has the names switched.
Windwalker 25th Mar 2020, 2:06 PM edit delete reply
I couldn't recall his former name so I just called him by his name as a Death Knight.
GOB 25th Mar 2020, 8:26 PM edit delete reply
Ahh, ok.

Amo didn't kill Denor, she killed Mordin. Denor died a long time ago. Denor called out to the Lich as he died. Was he even a nice guy when he was human? Will Kiner and Amo remain friends? I hope so.
Aetheos 23rd Mar 2020, 11:17 PM edit delete reply
That is a good question. He had to have been a good person to be Kinar's husband i would imagine. He wanted revenge when he came to near death and that reflected into his death knight persona... that doesn't make him a bad person. And his actions as a death knight shouldn't be a judge of who he was in life.
To be honest i'm still curious as to how and when he died that he called for the Lich. Noone could find him after he became infected if i remember correctly. He obviously got cured if he called for help or died before the infection fully took root. Still so many things we still dont know about him. I wonder if he'll get to rest in peace now.
Guest 23rd Mar 2020, 11:37 PM edit delete reply
On the last question, I think not.
Kai 24th Mar 2020, 1:23 PM edit delete reply
I think about him being nice as a human.. you have to go back to what Amo said. Becoming a death knight bring's out all the darker sides of you to the forfront and boosts them.

For examples. Say you're not a cat person, you don't like them. But you would never really harm them if you were around them. But as a death knight, it's like, you don't like cats, you'll kill any that come around you with out much care.

Deep down, Denor had to have these same feelings and ideals, but they were just that. Maybe wishes, or ideas, but not something hed ever act on. But as a death knight, his desire to see these ideas though came to the forfront, boosted to where even his own son is nothing but a tool to use.

Well, remember when he said to control nature to Kinar? This was back before he was a Death Knight. Serid exclaimed to him that’s why her powers are out of control. It seems to me that based on this bit of dialogue we get a lot of information on his past personality.
People who try to control and bend things to “ to their will,” are typically short sighted and manipulative. They usually have a big ego and are arrogant. Think of, if you will corruptive cops.
Now we have Serid, saying you can’t control things. You can shape them. Guide them. Different language yes? People like that are open minded. We can see from Kinar and his relationship that this is true. We see even when they were at odds at the start, he never was teaching he to use her power by bending it to her will. “ Relax, stay focus.”

Now some comments I see have read, “ Kinar married him, so he must be good.” Yeah... there are plenty of people who get married and then find out their partner is a total ass hat. I suspect that this may be the case for Kinar and Denor. I could be wrong, don’t thinks I am, but there is a chance. I am using what patterns of behavior I see in relationships and my own experiences.

One final note I find interesting is when Gath says, “ She had the power, he had the focus.” Could this be a sign of a codependent relationship? Denor wanting the power he saw Kinar wielding wildly, and Kinar wanting to be accepted and not feared(remember she had a hard time controlling herself). Did Denor just use Kinar for her power? Kinar for his acceptance?

Again this is speculation. Thoughts, ideas.

I think I have finally a theory, though I'm still missing a detail. For some reason Kinar had too much magic. Shai revealed to us that Denor gave her stability. But it wasn't stability he taught her, but control. Nature doesn't like control, but before that had any repercussions she was turned into a Worgen. Having been cured and remembering what happened she clamped down harder on her powers, which is the reason she was suddenly 'depowered'. But all that power was still looking for a way out, which it found in the remains of the Worgen curse. I believe she is fully cured, but every time she had some kind of emotional shock she lost control over her repressed magic and it took her partially over while it still followed her emotional wishes. Anders got hurt and was in danger, the danger was 'removed'and Anders was healed and she regained control.
Mordin manipulated her and reawakened whatever anger she had for the Horde and she attacked the next representative of the Horde. But he miscalculated. Oh, he got the nightmare he wanted, but considering how much damage she could have done to the keep? But she blamed herself much more than the Horde, so it was a direct, physical attack, not a magical one. It also made it easier for Serid to snap her out of it.
I think training with Serid and their relationship helped her and now, knowing where the problem lies he can help her to be more in tune with her power. That will not only help her avoiding the problems she had before becoming a Worgen, but also she won't go wild anymore.
Not having to hide her relationship with Serid from her father will also help as will be being reunited with Joric.
Just another theory.

That's a sad ending for Kinar ; but it was previsible , somewhere .......

Something comes back to my mind , suddenly : she hadn't bitten Serid , there is some weeks ? What for the possible curse ; and i remember they had tried a potion against it , too . All is good or he still risks to become a worgen ?
Marine027 27th Mar 2020, 12:45 PM edit delete reply
If i recall correctly that was a community vote, it was voted against him transforming, a few patreon pics tho has him as worgen if i rememeber.
CM 28th Mar 2020, 11:42 AM edit delete reply
Correct. We saw the results in Amocin's blurb on page 259. It was a close vote, with 60 votes cast, and a 28/32 split, ultimately ending in favor of Serid NOT becoming a Worgen.
