kage hi 27th Apr 2020, 4:47 AM edit delete reply
huh, so I take kinar and serid are the parents of the new baby then
Guesticus 27th Apr 2020, 9:33 AM edit delete reply
What gives you that idea? o_O
kage hi 27th Apr 2020, 11:59 AM edit delete reply
well from the last page when jorric spoke about the baby I assumed it could have been kinar and serid or shai and amo, I think most of us did
Guest 27th Apr 2020, 4:31 PM edit delete reply
Plot twist, Kinar's Dragon is the proud new parent. XD
Guest 27th Apr 2020, 4:52 AM edit delete reply
If that’s something I noticed from my father after my 3 younger siblings were born and recently my older brother after his firstborn came last Autumn is just how very tired you are going to be. Sleep is eluded from you without question haha. I’m so happy for Serid, I knew he’d be able to breed with Kinar ^^
Danthehorseman 27th Apr 2020, 5:26 AM edit delete reply
I can't believe that papa is still calling Sid Tauren. A little bit insulting. I look forward to seeing more. I hope every one is well and doing there best to stay healthy and keeping safe
Alex Longden 27th Apr 2020, 5:37 AM edit delete reply
Calling him "tauren" come on Koutack he has a name you know!
Guesticus 27th Apr 2020, 9:36 AM edit delete reply
Sounds about right for some fathers towards their son-in-law(s)
It's more of a 'parental thing', rather than a 'specieist thing'
Jerodan Diogenes 27th Apr 2020, 6:34 PM edit delete reply
Racism is racism, casual or not.
Guestlicious 28th Apr 2020, 7:50 PM edit delete reply
It's not racism if he called him a Tauren... because he is a Tauren... He's not called him by his name yet and most likely won't. Its a parental thing (agrees with above), an 'I tolerate you with my daughter because she loves you but I'm on the fence with how I feel about you' kind of thing.
Jerodan Diogenes 1st May 2020, 7:25 AM edit delete reply
You have a wonderful gift for sophistry, but that doesn't change the fact that Koutack is racist. If I walked around calling the colored people I saw "Black Man", it's alright, according to you, because they are blacks. It's not racist.
Rankamateur 1st May 2020, 4:07 PM edit delete reply
And you have a talent for presumptuous pretense. They don't live on earth, so it's not necessarily true that referring to someone by their species is a demeaning gesture. It could very well be that Serid and Koutack now have a relationship of grudging respect, and that the latter's use of the word is fully expected. None of us know otherwise, so it's unnecessarily rash to presume sophistry on Guestlicious' part.

And I am going to end this before it gets too heated in the speculation.. Weather or not Koutack is being racisit does not matter because thats not he is trying to be.. He is trying to break down Serid to the most easily defined "I dont care to even remember your name" context.. If Koutack were white and Serid were black, koutack wouldnt be saying "Black" in that instance.. Its not the same world as mentioned...while a tad bit racist, this should be taken in the same context as the common trope in shows where a parent simply refuses to learn the actual name of their child's partner.. So... insert joke of "Hi Soren" "Its Serid..."

Koutack is simply identifying Serid on a base level, showing lack of care for anything beyond what he can see. Take it as somebody approaching Drogan and calling him "Dragon." as if they dont know/dont care to learn his name.

is it me or the drawing style has changed?
Panda 27th Apr 2020, 9:21 AM edit delete reply
Its just not shaded yet
Guesticus 27th Apr 2020, 9:35 AM edit delete reply
To me, it just looks like 'flat' colouring, details will come later
Guest 27th Apr 2020, 9:48 AM edit delete reply
probably just the lack of shading.
Navathien 27th Apr 2020, 10:01 AM edit delete reply
The art style hasn't changed. Amo will most likely update it later on in the day when shes had a chance :) good art is worth waiting for!
Kitten 27th Apr 2020, 10:45 AM edit delete reply
It’s missing the shading for this page. Amocin likely ran out of time this week but I’m sure she’ll update it in a day or two.

I know this is a comic just wondering how such a crossbreed is going to Look? Worgen with spots & Horns? Or worgen ears on a Tauren's face with the worgen Teeth? A spotted worgen with three fingers a tail with Hooves? The genetic kitchen aid mixer it going to suprise us!!! Or it might be part dragon too...Anders you horny dragon you!

TeaBear 2nd May 2020, 12:06 PM edit delete reply
Canon Lore is that Worgen can't breed new Worgen.... they are human. The child of two worgen would be human until/unless they are bitten or receive the blood of another Worgen.
The question of whether Tauren and human can produce a crossbreed hasn't been addressed, IIRC. But its a lot more likely that any child would be either Tauren or Human, not both.
Kalarhi 3rd May 2020, 7:18 PM edit delete reply
Yeah, but I am pretty sure Amocin has stated that in the comic's universe worgens produce worgens
Komodo 27th Apr 2020, 9:09 AM edit delete reply
Another great page. Are we gonna see some form of flashback sequence regarding the pregnancy/birth? I'm honestly curious about everything that happened during the time skip.
Kitten 27th Apr 2020, 10:50 AM edit delete reply
Gosh Joric is cute. I expected the baby to be Amo’s and Shai’s but there’s still several pages to go. Can’t wait to find out!
Optical 27th Apr 2020, 1:29 PM edit delete reply
What if Anders is the father? So many questions :)!
JayMorgan 27th Apr 2020, 1:56 PM edit delete reply
As to that last line- yup, don't we all!
Aetheos 27th Apr 2020, 3:02 PM edit delete reply
My question will be, are we gonna find out why Anders plays dumb. He can talk but from what we've seen it's mostly / only towards Amo. It's either that or it's just that only Amo can properly understand him, but i think Kinar understands his meanings just fine.
Aetheos 27th Apr 2020, 3:03 PM edit delete reply
We get to meet Serids father?! Oh gosh. It's happening.

That smile from Koutack in the last panel tells me he actually does approve, he just doesn't want to ease off yet.

Still keeping the suspense on whose baby and everyone else who we know are couples (though didn't Amo had a sorta dizzy spell a while back after being alive again? Still wondering about that). Seems things between Serid and Koutack are at least cordial, maybe not friendly, but at least not unfriendly. Getting to meet Serid's dad, that actually has me rather giddy too.
Pyrista 28th Apr 2020, 3:21 AM edit delete reply
Didn’t one of the comic pages mention that Serid was infertile on page 238 while Amo said she’d like kids on page 230. I’m leaning to Amo and Shai having a kid with Serid and Kinar helping out.
Dreamfox 28th Apr 2020, 9:24 AM edit delete reply
'Half breeds like him tend to be infertile'
However there is only one way of finding out and that is a lot of trying. There is the much going deeper going point of them being different species.

On the other hand, both are druids and in theory it could work if they are both in the same animal form.
Or use some druidic magic.
There is also the possibility that her biting him did something.
Muddy 28th Apr 2020, 11:25 AM edit delete reply

Joric bit him too.

I have great doubts that interspecific crossbreeding is possible. But this is the author’s right. As we say: the owner of the baren.
Aetheos 30th Apr 2020, 2:28 PM edit delete reply
Interspecies breeding is more than possible but is severely looked down upon.
So far i've seen
*Half Elf / Humans
*Half Draenei / Orc
*Half ogre / half orc
*A half Draenei / Orc that gave a human a son.

There have been no canon cases of Tauren breeding with humans probably due to the war, their sheer size, and their way of life. A human male might not have a problem creating offspring with a tauren female, but the other way around would be complicated due to a Tauren canonically being about 9-12 feet tall (Shrunk down to about 7 feet or so, so they could fit through doors in WoW). Talk about pregnancy back pains... and that's just for starters.

Artistic license aside... There is no determinable factors in WoW to point out what race is compatible to breed with what other race.

Where magic/super-science are involved, anything is possible.

Also, the very minimal canon Blizzard has given for Tauren calves indicates they are born with horns. See Horde quest Life from Krasarang Wilds in Mists of Pandaria. Imagine being human mama and baby gets caught in breech position.
Kai 7th May 2020, 2:19 PM edit delete reply
I think that has more to do with Blizzard not wanting to make a new model just for a single quest, so they use the older models instead.

1 year later why hasn’t Serid’s horn grown back? ALL bovine species horns grow back even deer horns grow back. There’s no such thing as a bovine type animal with horns that never grow back. If you don’t believe me please do some research this is a major flaw in regards to how bovine type animal species work and a bipedal bovine creature even if it has human characteristics as long as it has horns would be NO different. My dad used to have a ranch and we had lots of cattle and horses, hooves and horns are like human nails. They’re made of the same stuff, you cut them off and they grow back!

IN GAME models show tauren with broken horns, either on one or both horns..

https://media.mmo-champion.com/images/news/2014/october/TaurenMaleHorns.jpg

Guys... listen... Its either I am not following lore close enough, or too much... Please allow me to not have to explain this one aside from "I think it looks okay."
Anony 29th May 2020, 4:26 AM edit delete reply
The thing with most in game models for players to use is that they aren’t typically affected by time and do not age, therefore you wouldn’t see something like a horn growing back in a game. Games with set character models you just simply wouldn’t see them growing back because that would cause a significant amount of more programming. Unless you’re playing a game like ark or something where hair grows back slowly after it’s been cut such things aren’t typical.
